Currently, credit card returns are provided 24-48 hours after the billing effective date. However, we've streamlined the process to enable you to receive these returns on the effective date itself.
How does this help your business? If you have a billing date of the 1st, you'll know on the 1st how many credit card declines will impact your bottom line. In addition, your staff, including personal trainers and other service personnel, will know that day whether the member is in good standing. Knowing this credit card decline information on the same day can help your facility avoid paying training or service commissions on services that have not been paid.
Same day credit card returns are available for all EFT payment processing customers. There is no additional charge for this service.

Will this update affect the deposit of credit card payments into my account?
No. Credit card deposits will still occur just as they do today – on the same schedule and in the same amounts. The only change is that you'll know earlier which credit cards declined.
Will I get my ACH declines on the same day as well?
No. ACH declines will still be available 24-48 hours after the billing effective date.
Will this be in effect for all my billing cycles?
Yes. Credit card returns will be available same day every business day (Monday through Friday).
Will I have to do anything differently in my club management software to make this work?
If you process declines into your club management software (e.g., Compete or i4), you can process credit card declines on the billing effective date after Noon Eastern time. If you accept ACH payments, you will still need to process those returns as you normally would.
I don't want to process returns twice for a single billing. Can I just wait and process the credit card declines at the same time as the ACH returns?
Yes. The credit card returns will simply wait for you to process them, and you will process two files – the credit card returns and the ACH returns. However, if your facility has service personnel who earn commissions, you might want to process the credit card returns on the same day so you can avoid paying commissions on unpaid services. It's entirely up to you.
I’m an EFT Web customer. How does this update affect me?
It actually doesn’t, except to provide your returns the same day. You won’t need to do anything differently at all.
Can this service be "turned off" for my business?
Yes. Simply contact EFT Support at 1.800.227.1795 to opt-out of the service. Alternatively, you can simply choose not to process the credit card returns until the ACH returns become available, just as you do now.
